On the verge of collapse, false prophets are the masters of our streets, which have once again become the ill-famed boudoirs of an era we thought was over. They lavish the naive with the hope of a redemption that will never come, but feed on the fear of the other and of tomorrow. They erect protective towers without windows, but do not see the water rising in the avenues. Their followers dream of finding the now indescribable sensation of cold on their skin. Slaves of this blind faith, they break all ties with their environment, their land, and their free will.

While they were at the source of our uncontrolled skidding, new tangential beliefs may emerge. How many will be the fools running to listen to the last verses of their idols. How many will be the others seeking peace of the moment rather than the reminiscences of the past?
