Joaquin is a music producer, lecturer, and artist who combines sound, image, and computer science. Merges live interaction, generative music, sound design, data sonification, video, and sound art techniques when composing, creating live performances, or building immersive installations.

He has been awarded a master's degree in Sound and Music Computing from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and a master's degree in Computer Sciences from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Mexico. Received the recognition of being the first Ableton Certified Trainer in Latin America and the first Spanish-speaking Max/MSP Certified Trainer.

His work is based on an interdisciplinary approach, experimentation, and new technologies. As a performer, he has found a way to explore new possibilities of the man-machine relationship, developing a successful track record of live performances using computers. He creates his own production methods and sound design techniques, merging creative technology and audio to produce glitch sounds, wall of sound textures, dub production techniques, granular synthesis, and generative music. Internationally, has performed at festivals and events such as Bauhaus University in Germany, MUTEK Festival in Spain, Fusebox Festival in the US, and others.

Joaquín lectures and teaches master classes at the best universities, sharing techniques for sound design, music production, and live performance of audiovisual projects, also founded his own online school where he offers training via custom, one-on-one courses, as well as tips and tricks via free video tutorials. Founder and organizer of Ableton Mexico Usergroup, a community of music creators who meet regularly to share and learn together.

He is currently working on new media art projects involving data, machine learning, and computing technologies to create expressive synaesthetic conversions from the man-machine interaction. He is now a full-time Senior Audio Specialist at Volvo Cars in Sweden, where he creates and analyzes the future sound of cars.
