Districts is the second album by Bata Terelueli, a Tbilisi-based electronic music producer and multimedia artist. Exploring themes of post-Soviet melancholy and artificiality, Districts is inspired by the modulations and frequencies emanating from the various 'raions' or districts of Tbilisi. Each raion has its own distinct sound, like a banging drum constantly changing in texture. The various districts each scream a different tone when approached, some of them being duller and some of them brighter. The vibrancy of Tbilisi is characterised by this difference of energy between the various districts that it contains.
