Carlos Rizzi offers himself to the ether with a selection that moves along the edges of ambient and IDM, emerging from the friction of sound itself. Far from passive contemplation, this mixtape articulates a poetics of distortion: a tool that here does not beautify, but strains, suggests fractures.
The first half is composed of unreleased pieces, assembled from scattered materials and narratives in formation—sketches that resist completion, instead gesturing toward thresholds. Among them slips in a work-in-progress collaboration with Las Hermanas. The second half of the mix unfolds a cartography of influences that have shaped Rizzi’s recent listening, woven with sensitivity and intent. His closing track, “Policroma,” appears as a suspended vibration announcing the pulse of a forthcoming album.
Welcome to the firmament and have a good journey
