To Initiate our second release, Pattrn sought to connect. After nearly two years spent locked up at home, he wanted to get in touch, to reach out. From there, “Bridges'' is born.

Bridges functions as a metaphor for human interconnection, highlighting the links that exist between the diverse musical aesthetics Pattrn craves for.

Covering ambient, through off-beat, techno & dnb contemporary styles, this collection of music is dynamic & thought-provoking.

Initiating our story is Ashdown, where expansive pads and open spaces float into driving grooves that eventually dissolve into Katano, who’s brooding ambiences come together to build suspense, leaving us hanging for what’s to come. Echigen then surprises us with a bashy blend of distortion and rhythm leading us to finish our construction with Rosa. A powerful and climactic track routed with stomp levelled soundscapes that recall Initiate’s roots in the club.

Bridging the gap, Sebastian Mullaert delivers a beautifully calm, dubby and rooted remix of Katano. A great way to revisit your inner self.

To sum up, “Bridges'' is an attempt to reach out to the world. To interconnect diverse musical aesthetics and create an Opus of work at the crossroads of the composer's musical sensitivities.
