NFR010 - a deep techno talent from Leipzig Germany - Jonas Wernicke, also known as ‘Kontinum’.

We are really excited to have him back on the label and this time with an EP. 4 sub heavy original pieces containing lush pad lines and groovy percussions is something that Jonas does very well. Release also contains 3 remixes: we are very happy to have ‘The Alchemical Theory’ back with one of them! Second remix recorded by new bame on our label - although pretty well known within the scene - ‘Craft’. And final faster interpretation by ‘Motion Symmetry’.

Few words from Kontinum himself:

“My musical journey began pretty early by starting playing in bands at the age of 7. Over the years my taste shifted from acoustic to electronic music. I started DJing at age of 16-17 and took my first steps with Ableton shortly after that. In the beginning I mostly play Tech-House and Big Room Techno. This changed when I moved to Leipzig in 2015 and discovered an awesome local night club - ‘Institut fuer Zukunft’. There was an event series called ‘Aequalis’ which focused on deep/hypnotic techno and after few raves I knew that this is the stuff I want to make and it is still the music I really love to work with. Besides ‘Aequalis’ my main influence was music released on Informa, TGP and Hypnus.

Over the time I released on Oslated, Lowless, Circular Limited, Alexandar to name a few.

Im also one of the founders of ‘Nebula collective’. Me and my friends started doing illegal raves and found our place in the local scene pretty fast. The initial raves lead to a regular event series at ‘Institut fuer Zukunft’, many clubs in Leipzig and around East-Germany.”
