On his new EP entitled ‘Voidgazer’ konphas explores the infinite depths of space by sonifying the voyage of an imaginary interstellar probe through the lens of a Buchla/Verbos modular synthesizer propelled by driving drums and percussion.

All tracks were initially recorded from analog sources

and unquantized sequences before being processed

digitally to create additional voices. The resulting

compositions capture the raw essence of west-coast

synthesis with subtle layers of microtonality and

spectral components.
